A History of Achievement
KENDA was founded in 1984 in Salem, New Hampshire by Steve Kenda. Steve worked on
consulting engagements for various companies in the area, and at the time, identified a
need in the marketplace for an Information Technology and software engineering company that
possessed a greater technical understanding of the clients' requirements than had
already existed. He decided to build a company with an internal culture based on
solid technical mindset. The objective was to provide a closer match with business
and technology solutions for a client's specific challenges.
KENDA received acknowledgement in the IT consulting industry in 1992 when Steve Kenda
was appointed President of the National Association of Computer
Consulting Business (NACCB). The NACCB was formed in January 1987, as a result
of legislation that dramatically affected the consulting industry. In his role as
President, Steve was instrumental in developing the NACCB code of business practices,
its local chapter evolution, and the establishment of its legislative fund. Steve has
testified before the U.S. Senate Committees on various legislative matters in the
industry.
KENDA achieved #154 status on the Inc. 500 list in 1990.
The Company was a Blue Chip winner in 1992. Steve Kenda
has been a New England finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur
of the Year event in 1999, and presented at numerous industry events as a
public speaker on issues involving strategy, planning, and self-improvement.
