software engineering. Whether you are running a help desk, programming,
designing algorithms or managing a project; we would like to help you.
Why not take a moment to browse the opportunities that we currently
have to offer?
How will I know that I am being spoken to about
opportunities that best suit my background, experience and needs?
All of Segula's Resource Managers are very experienced and have been
trained to interview you thoroughly with a view to finding out exactly what
vertical industries and technologies would be best suited for you. Our
Resource Managers make sure that the fit is right not only from a skills
perspective but also in regard to those other important features such
as commuting, hours, rates, work environment etc.
How will I be kept informed of suitable
opportunities?
When a suitable position becomes available you will be contacted by a Segula
Resource Manager who will walk you through the role. Only when we have your
permission will we submit you to our client.
Where are Segula's clients located? Does
Segula only have projects in their office locations? I live in Kansas City.
Segula has cleints throughout the entire US through their 9 offices
strategically placed in Massachusetts, Northern and Southern California,
Pennsylvania, Illinois, Texas, Arizona, and Colorado. So the answer is no,
the opportunities we have are not just from our office locations.
Do I have to pay Segula any fee to find work for me?
You pay nothing. Candidates represented by Segula pay no fee. Any fees are
always client paid.
Does Segula have a Consultant Care Program?
Yes. Included in the program will be the Resource Manager walking you
through your new assignment on the first day (geography permitting)
and to make sure that you have everything you need including time sheets etc.
We will also ensure that you know the payroll procedures. Once on
site and working, Segula will be in frequent contact both by telephone
and site visits (including lunches!). You will also have a named contact in
our Consultant Services Division who will be your liaison for all payroll
issues.
I have always been in a permanent job, what is
involved in becoming a consultant and what are the benefits of contracting?
For the professional with solid work experience and current skills who is
authorized to work for any employer in the US, becoming a consultant can
be an exciting endeavor. Many professionals work this way enjoying the flexibility,
exposure to different work environments, in some cases opportunity to travel
as well as the likelihood of a higher remuneration. We also place into
contract-to-hire positions which will allow you to temporarily work in a role
to see whether you like it before taking on a more long term commitment.
Contracting is not always a short term option, a number of Segula consultants
have been on assignment for much longer. To find out more of what
contracting has to offer, call a Segula Resource Manager near you to find out more.
IC or W2? What is required to qualify as an Independent Consultant?
To secure an assignment through Segula you can work as a W2 employee and we
will pay you on a weekly basis. We do partner with Independent Consultants and to
do this we need to be sure that the consultants company is incorporated with
a valid EIN number and general liability insurance of no less than $500,000
and workers compensation cover of not less than $10,000.00.
